Affiliations and Memoranda of Understanding
 

The Act mandates the Authority to establish conditions for facilitating the achievement of its strategic objectives in a manner consistent with Trinidad and Tobago’s international commitment in relation to the liberalization of telecommunications.

As a signatory of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) the Authority is obliged to develop its spectrum policies and procedures in accordance with the ITU. In pursuant of this mandate, the Authority has affiliations and memoranda of understanding with a number of local, regional and international telecommunication organizations and regulatory bodies including:

In addition, Trinidad & Tobago is a participating country in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP), which is the basic numbering scheme throughout the US, Canada, the Bahamas and 16 Caribbean countries. 

 

 

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

 

There is an agreement between the administrators of France and Trinidad and Tobago.

Following the 4th ITU Regional Frequency Coordination Meeting on the use of the VHF band (174-216 MHz) and the UHF band (470-806 MHz) from 11 to 14 September 2018 held in Belize, ANFR and TATT being the respective authorized representatives of the administrations of France and Trinidad and Tobago with responsibility for spectrum management in their respective administrations, have concluded this Agreement, under Article 6 of the Radio Regulations.
