International Girls in ICT Day 2022 - Consultation Created by TATTPublisher1 on 11/23/2021 10:01:55 AM
The time has come to start planning for the Girls in ICT 2022 programme!
What started as one day of celebration has now become a worldwide year-long movement to inspire girls in STEM careers through training, information sharing, role models, and capacity building activities.
To develop the 2022 plan, it is particularly important for ITU to engage with the very girls that the activities are aimed at helping. We need your help to identify young women who have an interest in STEM and ICTs, between the ages of 16-24, that would be willing to participate in a survey consultation.
The survey aims to report on the challenges girls face in pursuing careers in STEM related fields, and on what kinds of activities girls believe would best support them. By assimilating an understanding of the current mission of GICT - by the challenges and potential solutions revealed in the survey - ITU and its partners can serve as a bridge between communities of young girls around the globe and programmatic implementers, who can make a direct impact in a girls’ life and career in STEM.
In order to get meaningful results and a consequent analysis of the survey, it is crucial that our survey is completed by our identified target audience. We are looking for girls who meet the target age range, and we would love to see diversity in the girls answering the survey.
We are seeking your help in promoting this survey among girls from your region or community.
