Consumer Complaints
During the period 1st January 2023 and 31st March 2023, TATT received and acted upon one hundred and fifty (150) valid consumer complaints regarding mobile, fixed line, subscription television, Internet services, and service packages. One hundred and thirty-six (136) or 90.6 % of these complaints were either resolved or closed by TATT.
Broadcasting Content Complaint
During the reporting period TATT received and acted upon eight (8) broadcasting content complaints. Six (6) were related to radio whilst the other two (2) were related to television.
Four (4) of these complaints were resolved, whilst the other four (4) were non-actionable.
Talk Show Monitoring Programme
The talk show monitoring programme continued during the period 1st January to 31st March 2023, where five (5) radio talk shows and two (2) television talk shows were monitored. The monitors referred forty-eight (48) reports to TATT of which eight (8) required further investigation. Following TATT’s investigations, only one of these matters required the issuance of a warning to a broadcaster.
