About Girls in ICT Day

International Girls in ICT Day is celebrated annually on the fourth Thursday in April. This International Telecommunication Union (ITU) backed initiative seeks to support the empowerment of women in information and communication technologies (ICT) through knowledge and programmes.


Since 2012, TATT has celebrated Girls in ICT Day and in collaboration with its partners. TATT remains committed to working to develop solutions and ideas for lowering barriers and improving safety online where girls can confidently “access and explore the digital world, imagine future STEM careers, ICT education and futures in technology for themselves” as stated by the ITU.


TATT will host the “Tech4Girls: Masterclass on How to Build Your Online Personal Brand! on Saturday 30th, 2022 to commemorate Girls in ICT Day.

Tech4Girls: Masterclass in How to Build Your Online Personal brand Workshop

Overview:

Building a strong personal brand on social media takes more than an attractive professional profile picture and a witty tagline.
At the “Tech4Girls: Masterclass in How to Build Your Online Personal Brand” intensive masterclass workshop, participants will learn how to craft and develop compelling profiles and content that resonate with their targeted audiences.


The workshop is being hosted by TATT in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, CANTO, and Tobago Information Technologies Limited (TITL).  This is a free virtual workshop for approximately two hundred and fifty female participants over the age of eighteen.


Whether workshop participants are amateur or creative enthusiasts, entrepreneurs or working in the corporate field, they will discover the digital marketing tools and strategies necessary to create a consistent, powerful, and authentic personal brand voice, to define and influence how others see them.

Why Attend:

Participants will learn how to effectively optimise online personal branding to create a consistent, powerful, and authentic brand voice. At this workshop participants will learn how to successfully define and communicate who they are across all digital platforms in order to increase their brand awareness and engagement.

Eligibility Criteria:

-    Females, ages 18 years and older
-    Must have access to a laptop/computer and the Internet.
-    Open to nationals of Trinidad and Tobago only.
