WTISD 2011

Request for Proposals

The  Authority   is inviting Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) registered as Non-Profit Organizations under the Companies Act Ch 81:01, or established by an Act of Parliament, to participate in its ICTs for Rural Communities Development Project, and has prepared a Request for Proposals for the Project.

This project is TATT’s signature initiative to celebrate World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) 2011. The theme for this year is Better Life in Rural Communities with ICTs.

ICTs is the abbreviation for Information and Communication Technologies and is an umbrella term that includes technologies such as computers, the Internet, mobile and  fixed line telephones, radio, television and satellite.

Non-Profit Organizations are invited to submit proposals for projects in which  they are currently involved, or plan to be involved, that would help to enhance the quality of life of persons in a rural community. These projects must include the use of ICTs and must take place in rural communities in Trinidad or Tobago.

TATT will evaluate all accepted proposals in accordance with pre-set Evaluation Criteria outlined in the Request for Proposals document.
Selected projects will be awarded with up to Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) worth of ICT equipment and/or services which the NGO has identified in its proposal to support its project.
The closing date for the submission of proposals is Friday July 15th 2011 at 4:00pm .
